SONY UPGRADES PS4 STORAGE TO 1 TERABYTE

Sony doubles the storage of PS4 slim while maintaining $299.99 entry price in place. Currently upgrading  PS4  from its usual 500GB of internal storage to 1TB of internal storage starting this week.

That is a better deal for customers out there. This also implies that you would be able to get a cheaper price for the one with 500GB capacity.

Currently, even the 1TB PS4 is out of stock at Amazon store, but though can still be ordered and shipped once it is available.

Aside from the storage, there exist no other upgrades in the device.

Nintendo’s Switch also costs $299.99,  if available, but the console only has 32GB of built-in storage. It does come with support for microSD cards if you need more local storage, of course.

Meanwhile, Microsoft’s Xbox One S is yet to receive a similar storage upgrade. The console starts at $299.99 and packs a 500GB hard drive.

You’ll have to pay $50 extra to double the storage for the time being, but we shouldn’t be surprised to see Microsoft follow Sony’s lead here.
